At a glance...

A sweet and salty version of the regular Snickers chocolate bar with a butterscotch scent. Perfect for sweet and salty lovers!

  • Butterscotch Taste: 3.7/5
  • Is it worth it: Worth it if you like sweet and salty treats!

REVIEW:

I don’t usually go for Snickers’ specialty flavors, but this butterscotch flavor caught my eye.

What is Butterscotch?

As explained by Baking Bites, Butterscotch is a sweet treat known for its distinctive flavor of brown sugar and butter. While it's often made into a sauce or hard candy, the flavor is also used in other desserts such as cakes and cookies, by using ingredients that recreate the same rich, buttery sweetness.

The butterscotch scent in Snickers Butterscotch is fairly strong, but it doesn’t have the buttery taste that some butterscotch treats and desserts are known for. I looked at the ingredients list and yup, they merely used "butterscotch" flavoring. In my opinion, it's more butterscotch-scented than flavored, and nothing else about the chocolate bar really gives off that flavor.

Mostly, it tastes like a regular Snickers bar, but leans toward a saltier taste. Personally, I love anything that has a sweet and salty taste, particularly for desserts. So this is perfect for me! A sweet and salty Snickers bar!

It's sweet, but the saltiness comes through pretty strongly for a chocolate bar, and I love it!

My eyes light up whenever I come across a snack or ice-cream that's sweet and salty. It's always a delightful treat for me! I'm sure I'll get this butterscotch Snickers again!

As I was researching to see what others think of this flavor, I came across another Snickers variation called Snickers Butterscotch Scoop, and it sounds similar to what I've tried here.

I mean, it's a Snickers bar at the end of the day, how bad can it get, right? That said, I'd probably not recommend this to people who dislike salted sweet treats. If you love the combination of a sweet and salty flavor, do try this if you have the chance to!

Unisoy Rice Soy Milk Powder Review: Rich and Aromatic

RATING:  4 ★ |  At a glance...  Aromatic and creamy soy milk with a subtle rice note — just the right sweetness and easy to enjoy.  Taste:   5/5  [Rich and creamy texture. Strong scent.]  [Less than 10 ingredients that are mostly recognizable. With additive and flavorings.]  Is it worth it:  Depends on whether you want to have a flavored soy milk.
